Yay, Halloween is finally here! Hope with this huge lead-up I created you aren’t disappointed by his costume, haha. I was thinking about that today. Like, crap, what if people think I’m really going to do something epic and original. But nope, he’s just a cute chicken. Last August (when I was barely into my 2nd trimester) I saw this costume online and had to get it. Eric’s parents have chickens and I decided then and there I wanted to get pictures of him dressed up as a chicken next to the real chickens. Luckily the costume fit perfectly and was nice and warm on this chilly night. I saw an idea on Pinterest (of course) the other week of another baby dressed as a chicken and sitting in a giant carved pumpkin painted white to look like an egg. That was what I originally intended to do until I shopped around for giant pumpkins and realized one big enough for him to sit in would cost me like $50. I mean I know it’s his first Halloween and all but the costume was $12 so I wasn’t going to spend $50 on a photo prop. Luckily a $2 piece of foam board taped to a storage cube I already owned worked perfectly. Combine that with my in-laws garden and chickens and we had us a grand ol’ time. He may not get to eat any candy this year but he’s sweet enough as it is anyway (collective “aww”). Hope you all had a Happy Halloween too!

In case you missed the countdown this past week:
1 week, 6 days, 5 days, 4 days, 3 days, 2 days, 1 day
